Criminal Policy′s main objective is to publish research and relevant contributions to Penal Science, putting emphasis on public policy issues.

Criminal Policy contains three sections: Articles, Documents and Reviews.

The Articles section contains original works or writings about subjects related to Criminal Policy′s objective that, according to our Editorial Norms, have been submitted to a double anonymous review system  (peer review), executed by members belonging of the journal's Peer Review Committee or experts on their behalf. The ″Centro de Estudios de Derecho Penal″ guarantees all review processes and their anonymous quality, keeping all evaluation forms properly filed.

The Documents section contains original contributions whose publication is decided by the Director, by his own initiative, by the Editor or at the suggestion of any member of the Editorial Committee. Documents usually are reports or speeches from relevant authorities, commentaries about the High Courts' jurisprudence as well as legislative reports.

The Reviews section mainly contains reviews from some the newest books on Criminal Law, that have been prepared by both  inside and outside researchers, duly approved by the Director.

Criminal Policy is published semiannually. The year's first issue opens on January 1st , and closes on June 30th . The year's second issue opens on August 1st and closes on November 30th. During the open periods, all works will be published continually as soons as they are approved.

All works can be sent in their native language, without need of attaching a translation, as long as they are written in German, Spanish, French, Italian or Portuguese.
